7.0. Created the first big chance of the game for Schalke but, aside for that, had tremendous difficulty completing passes. Became more of a presence in the second half, innovating plenty of attacking moves. Ran all over Leverkusen the deeper into the match it went. He’s simply tremendous with the ball when he gets his confidence. He has so many good ideas, but they don’t always come off. Which makes him, as always, one of the toughest players to judge.. LM. Determined as always, he just continues to lack that polish. Such was the case here. He wasn’t all that composed in possession, he didn’t do a lot with it, but he provided a grit and energy when the match wasn’t in our favor and, as always, the threat is always there with him.
