Central Midfield

7.7. <strong>Man of the Match</strong>. Arguably the only midfielder who had any presence in the first half. He was a rampager defensively and he managed to complete passes while everyone else was busy throwing away possession. Became even more of a force when his midfield mates started to settle in in the second half. He continued to gather possession for the Blues and reset play to push forward. AMINE HARIT. 6.3. Really struggled to get into the game early on. It seemed like he’d take two good touches then give it away with the third. Whether it was playing the right pass or, even when he did play the right pass, getting the right pace on it, he just felt off. That theme carried on throughout the course of the match, but he did start to create more opportunity later on, even if it was never directly connected to a chance. Disappointing match simply because it was <em>so</em> close to being a really good one for him.. CAM. FC Schalke
