Strikers

5.4. Tons of speed and ideas getting forward, but had trouble, as always, finalizing moves. Notched Schalke’s first shot on target in the 27th minute with a tremendous run behind the Augsburg defense but was denied by Luthe. He did struggle with staying onside and keeping hold of the ball, but he provided a serious threat going forward. Disappeared later in the match before his substitution.. ST. FC Schalke 04. RABBI MATONDO

MICHAEL GREGORITSCH. 5.6. He’s just not very physically strong for a big guy, and similarly he’s not good in the air. He plays the game like a speedy striker, but he’s not speedy. He did attack the ball quite well, but he couldn’t get onto the end of a lot of the intended balls. The effort was there, but it just doesn’t feel like he should be up top.. ST. FC Schalke 04
