4. Support Amine Harit

The thing about Amine Harit is you really do have to cater to him a bit. If Schalke plays too much on the defensive and relies on Harit to drop deep to try to fire counterattacks from the back, he isn’t going to be the most effective.

But if he has a nice foundation of midfield protection to spring off of and only has to focus his play on the final third, then we will be seeing him at his best.

Through it all, Harit is still our highest goal producer, and there’s a reason for that. It’s because he is our more creative player and arguably our best finisher as well, as things stand. But as with all good attackers, he needs support to play his best. When he doesn’t have that support, he can falter and stars to fade from the match, and, if that happens, Schalke has lost a key battle that will be tough to recover from.

Might as well set yourself up for success and fortify Harit’s position, allowing him to play the game the way he needs it to be played.
