You can’t keep a top club down for long. Unfortunately, Schalke has had a hard time establishing consistency in keeping up near the top of the Bundesliga table or in challenging for Europa or Champions League places. But these days things are different, and with a reliable manager like David Wagner in charge of a foundation of young, talented players, the return to consistent glory is coming soon for Schalke.
Sure, you could wait around for the bandwagon to leave the station and jump on board when they’ve started challenging on an international level, or you could start getting to know the club now as a treasured addition to the Knappen fanbase and when the titles do come, you can be one of those fans that joined up “before it was cool.”
