Since there has been a pause in the 2019-2020 Bundesliga season, it’s time to take a look at FC Schalke 04’s top five games so far.

FC Schalke 04 currently sit in sixth place in the Bundesliga table, with European football likely for the 2020-2021 campaign. There’s a great deal of uncertainty regarding the finish of the current season, as well as the future of the upcoming season.

But instead of fixating on the unknown, let’s take a look back at the Royal Blues’ top five games of the 2019-2020 season, which had some truly magical moments.

5. Schalke at Augsburg, Nov. 3

Schalke needed a last-gasp, 82nd-minute goal from Amine Harit to win this match 3-2, but there’s nothing quite like a late goal from a star player to send everyone into a frenzy.

Harit’s even better late goal against Mainz earlier in the season could have knocked the Augsburg game off the list, but, from start to finish, this game was more thrilling.

The center attacking midfielder had the true moment of magic in the end, but Augsburg vs. Schalke also featured the Royal Blues overcoming adversity early on in the game when star center back Salif Sane suffered a serious injury in the 9th minute. The club fell behind twice, but Ozan Kabak provided the final 2-2 equalizer in the second half, making an early announcement of his future stardom in the Bundesliga.
