1. Sergino Dest

It’s really hard to top Dumfries, I’m not going to lie. Sergino Dest didn’t eke him out by much. Being American certainly helped though. Call it reverse bias.

Sergino Dest is also suiting up in the Eredivisie, though he calls Dutch powerhouse Ajax home, which makes him a tougher grab, but all the more worth it. He’s been a mainstay at Ajax in his first year with the senior outfit and at just 19-years of age, something tells me he has a lot more yet to show.

This year alone he’s racked up four assists while showcasing that delectable balance of attack and defense. He’s secure with the ball, excellent getting forward, and he knows how to work the ball into dangerous areas.

While his price tag is certainly the highest of the bunch, you’re also looking at one of the prime young rightback talents in the world. It’s a daunting prospect to consider spending money on, but if Schalke wants to get back to their best, they need to start adding more of the best.
