Centerbacks

7.6. I wonder if he’s as tired of seeing Union Berlin flop as I am. Really hard done on the penalty. Maybe it was a bad step, but the contact just wasn’t there. It was a flop, and it marred an otherwise brilliant day from Nastasic, who had a tremendous defensive effort that started early with his saving effort after Nubel carelessly gave the ball away.. CB. FC Schalke. MATIJA NASTASIC

FC Schalke. OZAN KABAK. 8.1. Man of the match. So, so good defensively, and even more impressive with his new skill—the knockdown. He’s made a habit of scoring goals, but knocking them down for someone else is a new development and it was perfect. Like Nastasic, had a goal-saving tackle, his coming around the hour mark. Just a marvelous things, just as beautiful as the Raman goal. So, so many positive impacts on this match and hardly a bad one to speak of.. CB
