CAM Amine Harit

Although Amine Harit’s team-high sixth goal of the season wasn’t his prettiest, he’ll surely take it. Harit gave Schalke the lead at the Weserstadion in the 43th minute, but he did so much more beyond that crucial goal.

The Moroccan superstar completed over 85% of his passes and continued to dazzle on the ball. Harit is one of the most exciting players in European football right now, and the fans in Bremen witnessed his brilliance in the attacking third first hand.

Harit led Schalke with three shots on target and four dribbles completed, providing the attacking intent that David Wagner’s squad always requires. He is Wagner’s muse and Schalke’s top weapon, and his consistency this season has been remarkable. The former Bundesliga Rookie of the Year is literally always great.

CB Ozan Kabak

Ozan Kabak didn’t score in his third Bundesliga start for the Royal Blues, but this may have been the Turkish international’s best performance of the three defensively. His passing was crisp, as he has a keen eye for picking out dangerous passes to progress Schalke’s attack further up the pitch.

Kabak finished third on the team in total passes attempted and recorded three tackles. He outshined every other player in Die Knappen’s talented back four in terms of pure defensive work, and it’s clear that Kabak is wise beyond his years. Most 19-year-old center backs don’t look this composed and positive on the ball, but Kabak isn’t like most.
