FC Schalke vs Werder Bremen player ratings: Nervy, but job done

I believe his day was summed up quite well by the commentators as “Herculean.” That’s what we know Mascarell to be and that’s what he was again, driving that engine room and crowing Bremen out of it.. Cleanly. More so than against Dusseldorf. That doesn’t mean he still didn’t get a bit reckless though. Was very unconventional all day, as is his style. At times an excellent tackler, at times a slick dribbler, at times a rash decision maker. Always innovating. Always involved.
