CAM Amine Harit

There isn’t a better center attacking midfielder in the Bundesliga right now than Amine Harit, who nearly provided more late-game heroics for the Royal Blues on Matchday 10. He didn’t come up with the winning third goal for Schalke, but he did start a positive run at the heart of Dusseldorf’s defense, which led to Suat Serdar’s go-ahead goal. The result didn’t stay, but without that move, Schalke would have lost 3-2.

Harit is always Schalke’s brightest player on the ball, and he works so hard in attack and defense. He loves dropping off deeper into midfield to start attacks, commanding the ball and doing plenty with it. Nobody else on Schalke is as adept at creating for teammates, as Harit is full of bright ideas with his incisive passing.

While Harit will wish he converted a glorious chance that Benito Raman created for him, it’s more important to praise Harit for being in position near the six-yard box for some of these teasing crosses. He’s the most likely to make runs into the box from midfield, which Schalke desperately need, especially if they are playing with an active lone striker.

On top of that, Harit set up chances with his relentless pressing. He works so hard to pressure opponents into mistakes, and his underrated defensive work is a major key to some of the best chances that Die Knappen create.
