Amine Harit is one of the Bundesliga’s best players, and the FC Schalke 04 attacking midfielder delivered the goods again with an excellent solo goal in the 82nd minute.

After 70 minutes of play, FC Schalke 04 found themselves down 2-1 to FC Augsburg on the road, as Alfred Finnbogason converted a penalty kick following Bastian Oczikpa’s handball. But another great delivery from a Daniel Caligiuri set piece led to Ozan Kabak scoring a headed equalizer in the 71st on his first Bundesliga start for the Royal Blues.

The Kabak goal was good enough, but it could not hold a candle to Amine Harit’s cheeky goal 11 minutes later to give Schalke a 3-2 lead over Augsburg.

Harit collected the ball in the opposition’s final third after a woeful mistake from young center back Reece Oxford, who was substituted into the game in the second half. The Moroccan international did the rest, bamboozling the defense with his dribbling skills before sending a calm finish into the left-handed side of the net.

It looked like Harit had taken too many touches at one point, but the genius attacking midfielder was simply setting things up a little bit easier for his trusty right foot. The chance was accepted with aplomb, and David Wagner and the Schalke bench lost their minds as they celebrated with Harit.

Throughout the game, Harit was Schalke’s best provider of chances on the pitch, though his teammates in the attack weren’t quite up to snuff when playing one-twos or getting open. Harit is a magician with the ball at his feet, and he has shown his eye for goal this season. That strike gives him five goals on the season and breaks his streak of having not been involved in a goal in Schalke’s last three games.
